I gad the worth experience in my life with Dr. Olivia Chang. I have family history of bladder cancer and came to this doctor to check if there a genetic component to this cancer that I need to test for. Being a urologist, she said she knows nothing about it and their first indication of the possibility of bladder cancer is blood in urine. Then she wanted to put a catheter in me to collect urine, which by itself a highly unusual procedure. In fact, her nurse wanted to do this before I even had a chance to talk to Dr. Chang who was late by an our for our appointment. When I refused to be catheterized, Dr. Chang agreed that this was unnecessary, but why then to demand this to begin with? Any educated doctor knows that catheter could introduce a bacteria and cause UTI of other issues and urine samples for prophylactic purposes do not require this painful procedure. I finally collected urine sample the normal way to be checked for blood and left her office, where I spent about two hours and only 10 min of which with the doctor - the rest is waiting. I haven’t heard from the doctor for three weeks during which I called her numerous times trying to obtain the results of my urine sample - simple check for microscopic blood in urine.Her assistants were unfriendly and no one could explain to me what happened with my results, which made me really nervous as I was afraid I may have a health issue. Finally, Dr. Chang called after more than 3 weeks to tell me that the urine sample was lost. Period. Now UCI health calls me every other day demanding to pay for the visit in spite them already charging my insurance a lot for the 10 useless minutes with the doctor and the lost sample. Good luck to other with this doctor and her office, but I would never go to her if I were you!

Dr. Chang is an exemplary surgeon and a lovely human. From our first consultation, through my final follow-up she was one of the most egoless & competent doctors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I am beyond thrilled with the results of my surgery, and though I did experience a complication she was both helpful & humble; transparently discussing with me the likely cause of the complication and how it could have been avoided. I am excited to see how Dr. Chang's practice grows, as I think she will come to represent a key partner for our community. I will be enthusiastically recommending Dr. Chang to my friends & coworkers interested in similar procedures, and I genuinely hope I will have reason to work with her again.

Dr. Olivia Chang is absolutely amazing!!!

She went above and beyond what I've ever received from any doctor. She explained everything to me in a very clear manner.

Dr. Chang was a wonderful surgeon, and the staff was always helpful and kind. They ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, and follow-up. I am so glad I went to her for a second opinion.

Without going too deep into my personal health issues, she has changed my life and given me hope for a normal, healthy future.

It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient with outstanding quality of medical care.
